We are currently seeking a dedicated Physics KS5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school with a thriving Sixth Form in Perry Barr, Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term position starting at the beginning of the new academic year in September 2026, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role

• Teaching Physics at Key Stage 5 within a well-established Sixth Form
• Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and high-quality A-Level Physics lessons
• Preparing students for examinations and supporting them in achieving excellent outcomes
• Delivering both practical and theoretical aspects of the Physics curriculum
• Monitoring, assessing and tracking student progress effectively
• Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching Physics within a secondary school setting
• Has the ability and confidence to teach Physics at KS5
• Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
• Possesses strong classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student achievement
• Has a positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
• ECTs are encouraged to apply
