Picking Line Operative

Location: Dinnington, Sheffield
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: Rotating shifts
No shift allowance

We are looking for Picking Line Operatives to join a busy metal recycling and processing facility in Dinnington, Sheffield.

Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for manually sorting materials as they pass along the picking line, removing unwanted materials and ensuring the correct materials continue through the recycling process.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role and would suit someone who is reliable, hardworking and comfortable working on their feet.

• Working on a moving picking line
• Manually sorting and separating materials
• Identifying and removing unwanted materials
• Maintaining good quality and accuracy
• Working safely around industrial machinery
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy
• Following site health & safety procedures
• Working as part of a team to meet production requirements
• Reporting any issues or hazards to the supervisor
• Supporting other areas of the operation when required

• Previous experience in recycling, production, manufacturing or warehouse work is beneficial but not essential
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
• Reliable and punctual
• Hardworking with a good attitude
• Able to work at a consistent pace
• Good attention to detail
• Physically capable of a hands-on role
• Comfortable working in an industrial environment
• Willing to work rotating shifts

Full training will be provided.
