£38.70 per hour
12-month contract
We are looking for experienced Pipe Welders to join major defence engineering projects in Barrow or Govan.
The Role
- Welding pipework and components to high-quality standards
- Working from drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- TIG, MAG and/or Flux-Cored welding
- Working with a range of materials and tight tolerances
- Carrying out preheating, grinding, cleaning and finishing
- Inspecting and checking your own work
- Working safely within a skilled production team
Requirements
- Time-served Engineering Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Strong industrial welding experience
- Experience working to WPS and high-quality standards
- Relevant welding qualifications/certifications
- Strong understanding of SHE and quality requirements
