Pipe Welder (TIG) - Stainless Steel Pipework

Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 15:30 / Friday: 07:00 - 12:30

Due to a new 4-year contract awarded to deliver critical pools, tanks and sumps for Sizewell C, we have additional permanent Pipe Welder opportunities based at a purpose-built nuclear facility in Deeside.

Working Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 07:00-15:30
Friday: 07:00-12:30



Key Requirements:

  • Proven TIG welding experience on stainless steel and carbon steel pipework.
  • Experience welding pipe sizes from 2" to 6" (larger diameter experience is advantageous).
  • Ability to work to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Previous coded welding experience or the ability to successfully complete coding qualifications.
  • Experience producing welds suitable for visual inspection and NDT.
  • Ability to weld in the PA (1G) rotated position.
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Food or Chemical.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and basic computer literacy.
  • Willingness to undergo criminal record and security screening.


Weld Test:

As part of the recruitment process, all candidates will complete:

  • 6G TIG weld test.
  • 2" stainless steel pipe butt weld.
  • Weld Procedure Specification (WPS) provided on the day.

Please note: Although the weld test is completed in the 6G position, production welding is carried out primarily in the PA (1G) rotated position.
