Rates:

Basic Pay: £23.45 per hour + £2.83 holiday pay

OT1: £32.83 per hour

OT2: £42.21 per hour

Accommodation: £53.39 per day

Bonus: £2.37 per hour

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting experienced Pipefitters for an industrial project in Royston, Hertfordshire.

The role will predominantly involve the installation and erection of PE plastic pipework systems throughout the facility.

Candidates should have previous industrial pipework experience, with experience installing PE, HDPE or other plastic process piping systems particularly desirable.

Duties

Duties will include:

• Installation and erection of PE / HDPE plastic pipework systems
• Working from engineering drawings, pipework layouts and isometric drawings
• Measuring, setting out and positioning pipework
• Installation of prefabricated PE pipework sections
• Installation of bends, tees, reducers, flanges and associated fittings
• Alignment and positioning of pipework prior to connection
• Installation of flanged connections, backing rings, gaskets and bolted joints
• Cutting and preparation of plastic pipework
• Installation and adjustment of pipe supports, brackets and clamps
• Installation of valves and other inline mechanical components
• Ensuring correct pipe routing, alignment, levels and falls
• Assisting with PE pipe jointing/fusion where suitably trained and competent
• Assisting with pressure testing, flushing and commissioning activities
• Working from MEWPs and access platforms where required
• Working alongside Mechanical Supervisors and other trades
• Ensuring installations are completed to the required quality standards
• Working in accordance with site RAMS, permits and safety procedures

Requirements

• CCNSG/ACE Card
• NVQ Level 3 Pipefitting
• Previous experience working as an industrial Pipefitter
• Experience installing industrial/process pipework systems
• Experience with PE / HDPE / plastic pipework highly advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and pipework layouts
• Good understanding of pipe supports, flanges, valves and associated fittings
• Competence using relevant hand and power tools
• Experience working on industrial/process construction projects
• Relevant mechanical/pipefitting qualification or trade background
• Valid site safety certification as required by the project
