Salary: Up to £38,000 (depending on experience)
Shift Pattern: Weekly Rotation – 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00
Overtime: 1.5x Monday-Friday | 2x Saturday & Sunday
Employment Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Install and assemble pipework systems on rolling stock in accordance with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Carry out brazing of copper and associated pipework to a high standard.
- Install and connect pneumatic, hydraulic and cooling pipework systems.
- Measure, cut, bend and prepare pipework to the required tolerances.
- Fit valves, brackets, supports and associated pipework components.
- Carry out pressure and leak testing where required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical and production teams to achieve build targets.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with quality standards and health & safety procedures.
- Identify and report any defects or non-conformances.
- Previous experience as a Pipefitter, Brazer, Mechanical Fitter or Assembly Technician.
- Experience carrying out copper brazing within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience installing pneumatic, hydraulic or cooling pipework systems.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- A minimum Level 2 Engineering qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- The ability to successfully complete a Safety Critical Medical and Drugs & Alcohol screening.
