Rate: £25 - £28 per hour (CIS)

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join a project at Barnton Primary School. This is a 3-month contract working on the installation of mechanical pipework systems within an educational environment.

The successful candidate will have proven experience with crimped stainless steel pipework systems and be capable of working independently from drawings while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of crimped stainless steel pipework systems.
  • Working from mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Fitting and assembling pipework to project specifications.
  • Carrying out testing and snagging works as required.
  • Ensuring all installations are completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Liaising with site management and other trades to ensure project milestones are achieved.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Enhanced DBS Check (Essential).
  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter within commercial or public sector projects.
  • Strong experience installing crimped stainless steel pipework.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Own tools and PPE.
  • Excellent understanding of site health and safety requirements.

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • IPAF.
  • PASMA.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pipefitting or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience working within schools, hospitals, or occupied buildings.

Package

  • £25 - £28 per hour CIS or £19.00 PAYE
