Pipelayer Groundworker – Crewe Water Project

Kilnbridge is looking for experienced Pipelayer Groundworkers to join our team on a major water infrastructure project in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pipelayer to work with a leading specialist engineering and construction contractor on a busy project, offering competitive rates, consistent hours, and overtime opportunities. Job Details

• Start Date: 03/08/2026
• Duration: 4 Months+
• Pay Rate: £24.00 per hour
• Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, lay, and connect water and drainage pipework in accordance with project specifications.
• Excavate, prepare, and maintain trenches safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and site specifications.
• Carry out backfilling, reinstatement, and associated groundworks.
• Work collaboratively with site teams to meet programme deadlines.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality on site.
• Deliver work expected from an experienced Pipelayer on a major infrastructure project.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pipelayer Groundworker.
• Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Card.
• Experience working on civil engineering, utilities, or water infrastructure projects.
• Admirable Requirement – United Utilities Passport.
• Previous experience working as a Pipelayer on water projects is advantageous.
• Demonstrable ability to perform the duties of a Pipelayer safely and efficiently.
