Planned Delivery Surveyor

A large housing association across the South of England is looking for an experienced Delivery Surveyor to join their Asset Management team and play a key role in delivering planned maintenance and investment programmes across a diverse housing portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for a surveying professional who enjoys balancing technical expertise with stakeholder engagement. From carrying out inspections and preparing specifications to monitoring works on site and ensuring an excellent customer experience, you'll be instrumental in delivering high-quality improvements that make a real difference to people's homes.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Delivery Surveyor, you'll support the successful delivery of planned works programmes, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out property inspections and assessing building condition to identify planned maintenance requirements.
• Preparing detailed specifications and scopes of work for investment programmes.
• Monitoring works on site, undertaking pre-, during- and post-inspections to ensure quality, compliance and value for money.
• Identifying defects, managing remedial works and resolving technical issues.
• Working collaboratively with contractors, delivery teams and internal colleagues to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Supporting contractor performance, managing variations and maintaining accurate project records.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, including CDM requirements.
• Communicating effectively with residents, providing a positive customer experience and minimising disruption during works.
• Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency and service delivery.

About You

You'll be a proactive and customer-focused surveyor with strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Essential

• HNC/HND (or equivalent experience) in Building Surveying, Construction or a related discipline.
• Experience in property inspections and building condition surveys.
• Experience preparing specifications and scopes of work for planned maintenance or refurbishment projects.
• Knowledge of planned maintenance and capital investment programmes, including major component replacements such as kitchens and bathrooms.
• Experience monitoring contractors and inspecting works on site.
• Good understanding of construction methods, maintenance practices and relevant building regulations.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM regulations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and property or asset management systems.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Desirable

• Working towards, or willing to work towards, professional membership such as RICS.
• Experience working within the social housing or residential property sector.
