About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Planner to join a busy repairs and maintenance team based in Walton-on-Thames on a temporary ongoing contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual with experience in scheduling repairs, coordinating operatives, and delivering excellent customer service within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate responsive repairs, maintenance works, and appointments.
- Allocate jobs to operatives and contractors to maximise productivity and meet service level agreements.
- Monitor and manage diaries, ensuring appointments are efficiently planned.
- Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to provide updates on repair appointments.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and repair enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Reschedule appointments where necessary and proactively manage any delays.
- Ensure all repairs are accurately logged and updated on the relevant housing management systems.
- Work closely with supervisors and operational teams to ensure repairs are completed within target timescales.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service while resolving scheduling issues effectively.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Repairs Planner, Scheduler, or in a similar repairs coordination role.
- Experience within social housing, property maintenance, or repairs and maintenance is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and repairs scheduling or housing management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
