Planner - The Role:
As a Planner at HellermannTyton, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and efficient production and supply by aligning demand with capacity, inventory levels and supplier performance. Working cross-functionally with customer service, purchasing and inventory teams, you will analyse data to optimise the flow of goods. This role is integral to supporting operational excellence and meeting customer expectations, contributing directly to the company's continued growth and reputation as a market leader.
Planner - Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor throughput against capacity and provide feedback to customer service
- Plan collaboratively with customer service, sub-contractors and purchasing based on available capacity
- Ensure effective, economic and efficient flow of parts through production
- Analyse usage patterns and work with inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels
- Raise and issue production work orders in line with the schedule
- Communicate and mitigate supply shortfalls to minimise impacts on customer demand
- Schedule the orderbook and achieve on-time, in-full delivery targets
- Provide cover and support within the department and offer additional support to achieve business objectives
Planner - You:
- Proven experience in planning or production planning within a multi-stage manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of capacity planning and inventory management principles
- Proficient in using ERP systems
- Confident communicator who can engage with customers and internal teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing demands
- Experience working with suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure timely material availability
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
