About the CompanyOur client is a leading integrated design and construction business delivering some of the UK's most complex infrastructure projects across the water, energy and environmental sectors.

The RoleAs a Planner, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, ensuring programmes are developed, maintained and monitored throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with operational, commercial and design teams, you will provide accurate planning information that supports informed decision-making and successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 and other planning tools

Monitoring project progress against baseline schedules

Identifying programme risks, delays and opportunities, implementing mitigation measures where required

Producing regular progress reports, forecasts and programme updates for senior stakeholders

Collaborating with design, commercial and operational teams to ensure programme alignment

Supporting tender submissions through the development of robust construction programmes

Maintaining programme change records and supporting contractual reporting requirements

Participating in collaborative planning workshops and project reviews
-
Supporting project teams in achieving key milestones and delivery targets

Proven experience in a Planning role within construction, utilities or infrastructure projects
-
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6

Experience developing and maintaining complex construction programmes

Understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
-
Experience working under NEC contracts
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
-
Ability to analyse programme performance and identify improvement opportunities

Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across Scotland as required

Experience within the water or wastewater sector
-
Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Knowledge of 4D planning techniques

Experience working within collaborative delivery, alliance or enterprise frameworks

Membership of a professional body such as APM, CIOB or ICE
