Mon – Thurs: 8-4.30 | Fri 1pm finish

Elevation Recruitment Group are seeking a proactive and highly organised Planning Administrator to join a busy manufacturing planning team. This role plays a key part in supporting production scheduling, ensuring manufacturing orders are accurate, and helping to maintain smooth and efficient factory operations. Starting as 3 month temporary position, leading in to a permanent role for the right person.

Working closely with machine shop and shop floor supervisors, you will support the planning function by coordinating weekly manufacturing orders, updating key systems, and contributing to continuous improvement across the department.

Key Responsibilities of a Planning Administrator

  • Produce and distribute weekly manufacturing orders in line with production requirements
  • Work closely with operations teams to support factory processes and planning needs
  • Provide clear direction to shop floor supervisors in line with planning schedules
  • Create, update, and maintain manufacturing orders and system data
  • Monitor sales progress and chase lists, updating relevant reports
  • Develop daily production and wrapping plans to support output targets
  • Run and support inventory meetings, contributing to usage and efficiency improvements
  • Produce daily and weekly on-time delivery (OTD) and performance reports
  • Update KPI dashboards and system reports accurately and on time
  • Support production scheduling to maintain factory efficiency and delivery performance
  • Carry out general planning administration and housekeeping tasks
  • Assist with nesting parts for laminates where required

About You

  • Strong organisational and planning skills with high attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work accurately with complex and high-value production requirements
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required
  • Quick to learn and confident working with systems and processes
