Our client is a Northwest based Fire and Life Safety company based in Southport. They are looking for a Planning Administrator to manage the workload of their Engineers. This is a full time office based role. 

Summary of Role

The Planning Administrator will play a key role in scheduling and coordinating engineer workloads for fire and security service and Reactive visits. Working closely with operations, engineers, and clients, the Planning Administrator will ensure work is planned efficiently, deadlines are met, and resources are optimised to deliver exceptional customer service.

• Schedule and coordinate engineer visits for servicing, and reactive works.

• Liaise with customers to confirm appointments and arrange access to sites.

• Manage and update planning software with real-time changes to schedules.

• Prioritise urgent and emergency jobs, ensuring compliance with service-level

agreements.

• Collaborate with stores to ensure parts are available ahead of visits.

• Maintain accurate records of completed jobs and outstanding works.

• Communicate clearly with engineers regarding job details and special

instructions.

• Support the Operations team with general administrative duties as required.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

• Must pass British Standard Security Screening (BS7858).

• Experience in planning, scheduling, or coordination in a service-based industry.

• Knowledge of fire and security systems is desirable but not essential (training

will be provided).

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and planning software.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Customer-focused with a professional telephone manner.

Terms

• 37.5 hours per week

• 08:30-17:00 Monday to Friday, one-hour unpaid lunch break

• 29 days annual leave, inclusive of Bank Holidays, You will be entitled to an additional day’s annual leave on completion of two full years’ service up to a maximum of three additional days after six years continuous service.
