Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting with an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Planning & Customer Service Coordinator, to join a busy manufacturing business in Dinnington.
This is a varied role where you'll be at the heart of the operation, acting as the key link between customers, production, suppliers, and logistics. The Role
Reporting into the management team, you'll be responsible for coordinating customer orders, production schedules, and administrative activities to ensure products are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
Working closely with internal departments, you'll play a vital role in maintaining excellent customer relationships while supporting the smooth running of manufacturing and distribution processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries, orders, and delivery requests.
- Process and manage customer sales orders using Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Coordinate delivery schedules, customer collections, and shipments.
- Prepare invoices and ensure all order documentation is accurate.
- Support export documentation and shipping requirements where required.
- Schedule production work orders in line with customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
- Attend daily production meetings to communicate customer priorities and production plans.
- Work closely with production teams to monitor progress and resolve scheduling issues.
- Raise purchase orders and process goods receipts within the ERP system.
- Support stock control activities, including stock checks and annual stock takes.
- Maintain accurate customer and supplier records.
- Provide general office administration, including answering calls, welcoming visitors, arranging travel, booking couriers, and maintaining business documentation.
About You
We're looking for an organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys building relationships and coordinating multiple tasks.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within customer service, planning, production scheduling, or administration.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of production planning or scheduling systems.
- Experience with logistics, shipping, export documentation, stock control, or purchasing.
