📍 Derby | Airbus Planning Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Airbus Planning Engineer to join our manufacturing team at our Derby site.

  • The position will initially be offered on a short-term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Salary💷 £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experiance

           Monday – Thursday: 7.30am - 16.00pm

           Friday - 7.30am to 12.30pm

Purpose of role and accountabilities:

To work on the NPI of Airbus Machining & Assy packages ensuring that Lean manufacturing techniques are utilised where possible. The role will involve Engineering planning / creation of route cards for new machined / fabricated & assembled detail parts. Planning lower-level details for manufacture through to assembly of large top level Parts, Understanding of customer Schedules & Boms essential.

  • New Product Introduction – Planning Methods of manufacture
  • Supporting all departments & trouble shooting Issues
  • Creation of Route cards & work instructions
  • Creating rework schemes & detailed planning for non-conforming product
  • Working with all departments to ensure the smooth industrialisation of new parts from quoting to manufacturing & Inspection.
  • Help with Implementation (planning) & prove out of new products.
  • Attending Weekly meetings & project reviews if required

Core skills/attributes needed:

  • Must have proven Engineering background Preferably in Aerospace
  • A Knowledge of Machining / forming & Assy Processors to enable detail routings to be created.
  • Must have Experience of planning & creating route cards / job cards.
  • Ability to read & Understand Engineering drawings essential.
  • Experience with Airbus specifications & processors essential.
  • Must have a can-do attitude & have a flexible approach to working.
  • Experience of NPI – fast paced working environment
  • Good Communication skills at all levels
  • Experienced in using Microsoft office tools.
