Planning Lead / Scheduller

ITP Global

The Role
Our Client is a provider of project delivery and construction management services to the data centre sector. Working alongside hyperscale, AI & neocloud Developers to deliver mission-critical facilities on time, safely, and to the highest technical standard.

Our clients' people typically epitomise strong technical expertise combined with composure under pressure, sound judgement, and an unwavering commitment to programme and quality. We're looking for candidates who understand the pace and precision the data centre environment demands, and who want to work on projects of genuine scale and complexity.

This is a client-side role, sitting within the Owner's project team and driving programme control across the main contractor on the client's behalf — from mobilisation through to energisation and handover.
You'll be the client's eyes and ears on the ground for programme: building and maintaining the master schedule, tracking progress against milestones, flagging risk early, and ensuring the facility is handed over exactly on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, own, and maintain the project master schedule, integrating all design, procurement, construction, and commissioning packages
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all programme and scheduling matters between the client, main contractor, and subcontractors
  • Monitor progress against baseline, identify critical path and near-critical activities, and flag delays or slippage at the earliest opportunity
  • Produce clear, accurate progress reports, S-curves, look-aheads, and dashboards for senior project stakeholders
  • Facilitate programme review meetings, driving accountability for corrective/recovery actions where required
  • Coordinate closely with all package leads (electrical, mechanical, controls, BMS, civils) to ensure interface points and dependencies are captured and managed
  • Support commissioning and energisation planning, sequencing activities in line with the overall project critical path
  • Assess the programme impact of variations, change requests, and delay events, supporting the wider project team on time-related claims
  • Maintain robust document control and audit trail for all schedule updates, baselines, and revisions
  • Manage schedule risk analysis and support development of mitigation and recovery plans through to practical completion and handover

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, Scheduler, or Planning/Schedule Lead on data centre or other mission-critical construction projects
  • Strong technical expertise in scheduling software (Primavera P6 essential; Microsoft Project advantageous)
  • Experience developing and managing integrated master schedules across multi-disciplinary packages on large-scale construction sites
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience with schedule risk analysis (QSRA) and delay analysis techniques advantageous
  • Rotation or based in Norway
  • English language proficiency essential; Norwegian language skills advantageous but not essential

What's on Offer

  • Opportunity to work on a major hyperscale data centre programme with a leading Developer.
  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • Long-term project with potential for extension
  • All visa statuses considered for the right candidate — support and guidance provided where possible
