An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Manager to join a growing engineering and operations-focused organisation in London. This role is ideal for a proactive planner who can coordinate resources, schedules, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage planning activities to drive efficiency, cost savings, and safe operations.
  • Develop and maintain resource and delivery schedules to support successful project execution.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to prevent planning failures.
  • Ensure a "right first time" approach through effective planning and coordination.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of materials, equipment, documentation, and resources to project sites.
  • Coordinate delivery programmes with clients, suppliers, project engineers, and project managers.
  • Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, and project requirements.
  • Monitor schedules and resource allocation, resolving potential conflicts and delays.
  • Implement best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of organisation, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Contribute positively within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in resource, project, or operational planning within a complex environment.
  • Strong track record of improving business performance through effective planning.
  • Experience with planning and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to high professional standards.
