An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Manager to join a growing engineering and operations-focused organisation in London. This role is ideal for a proactive planner who can coordinate resources, schedules, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage planning activities to drive efficiency, cost savings, and safe operations.
- Develop and maintain resource and delivery schedules to support successful project execution.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to prevent planning failures.
- Ensure a "right first time" approach through effective planning and coordination.
- Oversee the timely delivery of materials, equipment, documentation, and resources to project sites.
- Coordinate delivery programmes with clients, suppliers, project engineers, and project managers.
- Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, and project requirements.
- Monitor schedules and resource allocation, resolving potential conflicts and delays.
- Implement best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of organisation, accuracy, and compliance.
- Contribute positively within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in resource, project, or operational planning within a complex environment.
- Strong track record of improving business performance through effective planning.
- Experience with planning and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
