Plant Service Advisor
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £32,000 Basic | Up to £35,000 OTE
Hours: Monday to Friday | 07:30 to 16:00
The Opportunity
Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and enjoy being the link between customers and the workshop?
We're looking for a Plant Service Advisor to join a busy and friendly team in Gloucester. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, giving you the opportunity to build strong customer relationships while ensuring the workshop runs smoothly and efficiently.
You'll take ownership of the customer journey from booking work through to completion, keeping customers informed every step of the way while working closely with the workshop and parts department to deliver an outstanding service.

What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming customers and providing an exceptional level of service.
- Booking plant machinery in for servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Managing workshop schedules to maximise efficiency.
- Keeping customers updated on the progress of repairs and expected completion times.
- Preparing accurate job cards, quotations, invoices and estimates.
- Explaining completed work and discussing any additional repair recommendations.
- Identifying opportunities to promote aftersales services where appropriate.
- Processing warranty work in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Recording all work accurately, including retail, warranty and internal repairs.
- Liaising with the Parts Department to ensure parts are available when required.
- Delivering a smooth customer experience from initial enquiry through to collection.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have previous experience in a Service Advisor, Customer Service or Administration role within an engineering, automotive, commercial vehicle, plant or workshop environment.
We're also looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, professional and customer-focused.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident managing their own workload.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change.
- A strong communicator who enjoys working with both customers and colleagues.
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
