Plant fitter (work shop)

We are currently recruiting for a Plant Mechanic to join a well-established company based in Redruth, Cornwall. This is a permanent, full-time position working from a busy workshop, offering excellent rates of pay and the opportunity to join a stable and growing business.

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of plant machinery and equipment

• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out effective repairs

• Working on heavy plant and associated equipment

• Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance

• Ensuring machinery is maintained to a high standard and kept safe and operational

• Using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve faults

• Completing maintenance and repair paperwork where required

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop

• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed

• Previous experience as a Plant Mechanic, Plant Fitter, HGV Mechanic, Agricultural Mechanic or similar

• Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills

• Experience working on heavy plant equipment is essential

• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently

• Good understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance

• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team

• Permanent, full-time employment

• £18.00–£21.00 per hour, depending on experience

• Monday to Friday – no regular weekends

• Stable workshop-based position
