Are you an experienced Plant Operator or Construction professional looking to move into training and education?

Do you want to use your industry experience to support apprentices, work with state-of-the-art plant equipment, and help raise the standard of construction training?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the UK's first industry-led construction school, at an exciting stage of growth. With strong partnerships with JCB, a three-acre mock live site, plant simulators, and brand-new JCB machinery supplied every six months, this is a unique opportunity to deliver training differently from a traditional college environment.

As a Plant Operations Instructor / Tutor, you'll support plant apprentices and commercial plant training through a mixture of practical and theory-based delivery. You'll work predominantly on site at the school, supporting learners with plant operations, safe working practices, technical knowledge, and the skills required to succeed within the construction industry.

The ideal candidate will come from a strong Plant Operations or Construction background and hold relevant plant tickets. Excavator and telehandler tickets would be highly desirable, with roller and dumper tickets also beneficial. Teaching experience is not essential, as full instructor training, teaching qualifications, simulator training, and systems support can be provided for the right person.

The role:
*Deliver practical and theory-based Plant Operations training.
*Support plant apprentices and commercial plant training programmes.
*Use state-of-the-art facilities including a mock live site, plant simulators, and modern JCB machinery.
*Support learners with safe working practices, technical skills, and work-ready behaviours.
*Contribute to the continued growth of the Plant Operations provision.
*Work within a team of around 20 people, reporting into the Head of Education.

The person:
*Strong Plant Operations or Construction industry background.
*Relevant plant tickets essential.
*Excavator and telehandler tickets highly desirable.
*Strong practical industry knowledge.
*Comfortable using learner management systems such as BUD, or willing to learn.
*Passionate about supporting apprentices and raising industry standards.
