We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Plant Operator to join our operations team. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the plant by monitoring equipment, responding to operational issues and supporting continuous plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor and control plant systems from both the control room and the field.
- Carry out routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Monitor plant instrumentation, control systems and alarms, responding promptly to any operational issues.
- Support plant start-ups, shutdowns and emergency operations.
- Perform routine operational checks and basic preventative maintenance, reporting any equipment defects.
- Accurately complete shift logs, reports and operational records.
- Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams during planned maintenance and outages.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and performance.
- A technical qualification in engineering, mechanical, electrical or process operations, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in a power generation, process manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- A good understanding of plant operations, health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.
- Experience working with SCADA, DCS or similar control systems.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and operating procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
