Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday on rotating shifts (06:00-15:30 or 07:30-17:00).

What you'll be doing;

  • Assist the Plant team with daily operations including bulk liquid transfer between storage tanks, road tanker sampling, and discharge of bulk liquid from vehicles and barges into storage tanks
  • Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as greasing, chipping, and painting to maintain plant equipment and infrastructure
  • Start and stop plant machinery as required, operate forklift trucks, and carry out daily check sheets, reporting any defects immediately
  • Monitor third-party contractors and visitors to ensure they remain safe on site at all times
  • Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of the company's Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Systems



What we're looking for;

  • A team player with a flexible approach, able to work on own initiative and support colleagues across shifting priorities
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills with experience in spreadsheets and word processing desirable
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable
  • Previous experience working in a wastewater treatment plant, processing plant, or similar industrial environment is highly desirable
  • Some experience or interest in mechanical engineering is desirable
  • A commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
