About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Plasterer to join our social housing repairs and maintenance team.
You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality plastering repairs and maintenance across occupied and void residential properties. The role involves working in residents' homes, so a professional, respectful and customer-focused approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive and planned plastering repairs in social housing properties.
- Complete patch plastering, skimming, rendering and boarding.
- Carry out repairs to walls and ceilings, including making good following leaks and other trades.
- Prepare surfaces and ensure a high-quality, durable finish.
- Complete remedial and refurbishment works in void properties.
- Identify additional repairs and report any follow-on works required.
- Work safely and comply with all relevant health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment within residents' homes.
- Complete job sheets and update works accurately using a PDA/mobile device.
- Work independently and as part of a wider repairs team.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents at all times.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Plasterer, ideally within social housing or domestic property maintenance.
- Strong skills in patching, skimming, boarding and rendering.
- Experience working in occupied properties.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plastering or equivalent.
- Previous experience working for a housing association, local authority or social housing contractor.
- Multi-trade skills such as tiling, painting and decorating or minor carpentry.
- Experience using PDA/mobile working systems.
