Salary: £14 - £17 per hour (dependent on experience)

Plastic Fabricator / Plastic Welder – Manufacturing & Engineering

Are you an experienced Plastic Fabricator, Plastic Welder, Fabricator, or Metal Fabricator looking for your next opportunity?

We are a well-established manufacturer of industrial fume extraction fans and ventilation equipment and are looking to recruit a motivated individual to join our production team.

While experience in plastic fabrication is preferred, we are equally interested in experienced steel or metal fabricators who are keen to learn a specialist trade. Full training in plastic welding and fabrication will be provided for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manufacturing and assembling bespoke plastic fume extraction fan units and associated equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
  • Plastic welding using hot air welding equipment and recognised fabrication techniques.
  • Cutting, machining, drilling, shaping and assembling plastic components.
  • Using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Measuring and marking out materials accurately.
  • Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet our high standards.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop.

  • Metal Fabricator
  • Sheet Metal Worker

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in fabrication, engineering or manufacturing.
  • Plastic welding experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Metal fabrication experience welcomed – full plastic welding training provided.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Confident using hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable, hardworking and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.
