Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble large steel structures to high standards
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Use a variety of hand tools, burning equipment, and fabrication machinery
• Carry out marking, cutting, bending, and rolling of steel as required
• Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment safely
• Work collaboratively with welders and other trades on site
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety regulations

Experience & Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following:

• Proven experience as a Plater, Fabricator, or similar role in a heavy engineering or structural steel environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Experience working with heavy steel and large fabrications
• Skilled in using cutting, grinding, and forming tools and machinery
• Familiar with workshop health and safety practices
• Ability to work to tight tolerances with minimal supervision
• Experience using overhead cranes (Desirable: Crane operator ticket)
• NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding or equivalent qualification (preferred)
• Ability to work both day and night shifts as required
