Fab Shop Platers – Teesside

We are currently recruiting experienced Fab Shop Platers for an established engineering and fabrication business in Teesside.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble structural steelwork and fabricated components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
• Mark out, cut, fit and prepare steel components for welding.
• Work closely with welders and other fabrication trades.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and dimensional standards.
• Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fab Shop Plater.
• Strong ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication.
• Competent with fabrication tools and equipment.
• Good understanding of welding and fabrication processes.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
• Relevant qualifications or trade certification preferred.
