Platers

We are currently looking for experienced Platers to join a major industrial new-build project in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with consistent hours on a high-profile site.

Core Responsibilities

• Marking out, fabricating, and assembling steel plate and structural components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication details
• Cutting, shaping, and preparing materials in line with specifications
• Carrying out tack welding and fitting duties where required
• Ensuring all work is completed to high quality and safety standards
• Working closely with welders, supervisors, and other trades on site

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding or equivalent
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport / ACE Card
• Proven experience within industrial or heavy engineering environments
• Ability to read and work from detailed technical drawings
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures on site
• Reliable, team-focused, and able to work with minimal supervision

• 10-hour shifts on an 11-day fortnight rotation
