Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of settings, on commercial, and industrial sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with practical skills in welding, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools to contribute to high-quality service delivery.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as welding apparatus to complete tasks efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Measure and cut pipes accurately using basic maths skills; assemble components with precision.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repairs.
• Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex plumbing problems effectively.
• Assist with carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations or modifications where necessary.
• Operate commercial driving vehicles for transporting materials or equipment between sites when required.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and organised after completing tasks.
• Follow health and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents or hazards on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plumbing work within residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
• Proficiency in welding techniques and familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in plumbing tasks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Experience in carpentry or assembly work is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods.
• Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues swiftly.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in plumbing or related trades are desirable but not mandatory.
