Fortus Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber, working across social housing properties in Epping Forest and the surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations within occupied and void properties, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant health, safety and industry regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plumber looking for a stable, permanent position with a company van and fuel card provided.
This role will require to participate in in the out of hours rota which is 1 week in every 4 weeks which is paid £50 per call out.
Key Responsibilities-
Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance within social housing properties.

Diagnose and repair plumbing faults efficiently and effectively.

Undertake planned and reactive maintenance works.

Repair and replace taps, toilets, sinks, baths, valves, pipework and associated plumbing components.

Carry out repairs to hot and cold-water systems.

Complete maintenance works in occupied and vacant properties.

Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.

Maintain accurate records of completed works and materials used.

Liaise professionally with tenants, residents, supervisors and other contractors.

Ensure properties are left clean, safe and secure following completion of works.

Comply with company health and safety policies and relevant industry regulations.
The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience working as a plumber, ideally within social housing, housing maintenance, facilities management or a similar environment.

Strong knowledge of domestic plumbing systems and repairs.

Relevant plumbing qualifications or demonstrable trade experience.

Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

A professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with residents.

The ability to work independently and manage a daily workload effectively.

A full UK driving licence.

A good understanding of health and safety requirements.
