About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable plumber to support a university estate team on a short-term contract. This role focusses on reactive maintenance across campus buildings, helping ensure facilities remain safe, operational, and compliant for staff and students.This is a great opportunity for an experienced plumber who enjoys varied work in a professional, well-managed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive plumbing works across the university estate
• Repair and maintain sanitary systems including toilets, sinks, baths, and taps
• Diagnose and resolve leaks, blockages, and general plumbing faults
• Replace or repair fixtures, fittings, valves, and associated pipework
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues to minimise disruption on site
• Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations
• Complete job reports and maintain accurate maintenance records

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (minimum) or equivalent
• Proven experience in reactive maintenance or similar environments
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Reliable, punctual, and professional with a customer focused approach.
