We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join a well-established housing provider carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance works to social housing properties across Stockport.

This is an ongoing temporary role offering an immediate start, regular work, and the opportunity to join a busy team delivering high-quality responsive repairs for tenants within the social housing sector.

The role involves working on occupied social housing properties across Rochdale, carrying out a range of plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard.

We welcome applications from Plumbers, Maintenance Plumbers, Domestic Plumbers, Responsive Repairs Plumbers, Multi Skilled Plumbers, Multi Trade Operatives, Property Maintenance Operatives, and Repairs Operatives with experience working within social housing, responsive repairs, or domestic property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out all aspects of domestic plumbing repairs within social housing properties
  • Complete responsive plumbing repairs including leaks, taps, toilets, sinks, baths, showers, pipework, and water supply systems
  • Repair, replace, and install plumbing fixtures and components to a high standard
  • Diagnose and resolve plumbing and maintenance issues within occupied properties
  • Carry out minor multi-trade repairs including basic joinery, plastering, tiling, and other maintenance works where required
  • Attend reactive repair jobs and complete works efficiently and within required timescales
  • Provide excellent customer service while working within tenants’ homes
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment
  • Complete all work in accordance with health and safety regulations and company standards
  • Accurately record completed works and report any further repairs or issues identified
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Plumber within social housing or domestic maintenance
  • Strong plumbing skills with experience carrying out responsive repairs
  • Holds a Level 2 NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing
  • Relevant plumbing qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent are desirable
  • Multi-skilled experience in joinery, plastering, tiling, or other maintenance trades is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to pass DBS and DVLA/driver monitoring checks
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Previous experience working in occupied properties is highly desirable
