You’ll be working within a busy college environment, joining a friendly and supportive maintenance team responsible for keeping the campus facilities safe, operational, and well maintained. I’d love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Maintenance Plumber, Multi Trade Operative, Property Maintenance Operative, Maintenance Operative, or in a similar facilities maintenance role.
As a Plumber you will be:
- Carrying out reactive plumbing repairs including toilets, taps, sinks, and pipework
- Diagnosing and resolving minor plumbing faults across the college
- Completing planned plumbing maintenance works
- Undertaking basic maintenance tasks where required
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Reporting any additional repair requirements to the maintenance team
- Previous plumbing or maintenance experience
- Experience carrying out reactive plumbing repairs
- An NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- An Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
- Reliable transport to travel to and from the college
- £21 per hour
- 37-hour working week
- Monday to Friday working pattern

Location & travel
Based at a college in Birmingham, this is a single-site position with no requirement to travel during the working day. Birmingham offers excellent road connections via the M6, M42, A38 and A45, making commuting straightforward from surrounding areas.
