We are currently recruiting for a Plumber to join a Local Authority Housing Repairs team covering South Shields and South Tyneside. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity working Monday to Friday with sociable hours, carrying out repairs and maintenance to both void and tenanted properties.


Key Responsibilities
 
  • Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance to void and occupied properties
  • Undertake responsive repairs and planned maintenance works
  • Work on kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard
  • Provide excellent service to tenants and residents
  • Cover properties throughout South Shields and South Tyneside


Requirements
 
  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience working within void and tenanted properties
  • Previous experience carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively


Salary & Benefits
 
  • £18.18 per hour Ltd (PAYE equivalent £15.16 per hour)
  • Temp to Perm opportunity
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Holiday allowance
  • Overtime available
  • Sociable working hours
