Plumbers Mate / Pipefitter's Mate Required – Preston

We're currently looking for 2 x Plumbers Mates / Pipefitter's Mates to join a mechanical contractor on a school refurbishment project in Preston, starting Monday.

This is an excellent opportunity for operatives with mechanical experience to secure an immediate start on a well-organised project, assisting experienced Pipefitters with the initial strip-out phase.

Duties Will Include:

• Assisting Pipefitters with the removal of existing pipework and mechanical services.
• Safe stripping out and dismantling of heating and pipework systems.
• Moving and organising materials around site.
• Loading out and disposing of redundant materials.
• Assisting with lifting, carrying and general installation tasks.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Following site health & safety procedures at all times.
• Supporting the mechanical team throughout the first phase of the project.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Plumber's Mate, Pipefitter's Mate or Mechanical Labourer.
• Valid CSCS Card (Essential)
• Experience working on commercial or education projects is advantageous.
• Good understanding of site health & safety.
• Reliable, hard-working and able to work as part of a team.
• Own PPE.
• Ability to start immediately.
