We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education college for an experienced Plumbing Teacher to join their Building Services department. One with some of the best facilities in the UK

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional individual to develop and teach plumbing across a range of courses, working with both full-time and part-time learners. You'll plan, deliver and assess vocational programmes, act as personal tutor to your learner groups, and help shape best practice across the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver and develop plumbing programmes for groups of learners
  • Assess learners against established guidelines
  • Act as personal tutor, providing feedback on progress to students and managers
  • Monitor and manage attendance and standards of behaviour
  • Contribute to quality procedures and self-assessment processes
  • Keep up to date with curriculum developments in the vocational area

Requirements:

  • Cert Ed/PGCE or relevant teaching qualification (or willing to work towards)
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational sector
  • Recent, relevant industry experience within plumbing
  • Assessor Award desirable (or willing to work towards)
  • English and Maths to at least Level 2 desirable
  • Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

Benefits:

  • 44 days' leave (32 days holiday + 8 bank holidays + 4 concessionary days), pro rata for part-time
