Role Overview

As a Plumm Testing Engineer at Tata Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Plumm-related systems and applications. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analysing tests within cloud environments, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development teams. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about quality assurance, cloud computing, and contributing to robust software solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Plumm-related software features.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, working with development teams to resolve them efficiently.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and system testing, primarily within cloud-based environments.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure testability of features.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
  • Analyse test results, generate detailed reports, and provide clear feedback on software quality and readiness.
  • Utilise cloud computing resources for setting up, configuring, and managing test environments effectively.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Computing principles and experience working with cloud-based applications or infrastructure.
  • Ability to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical issues clearly.
  • A proactive approach to identifying potential risks and advocating for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.


Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with specific cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for test environment setup or automation.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience with performance testing or security testing concepts.


Tools and Technologies
  • Test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Version control systems (e.g., Git).


Work Environment and Employment Details

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
