Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with an established advanced manufacturing business who are looking to appoint an experienced Polymer Chemist to provide technical leadership across materials, chemistry and product development.

This is a key technical position where you'll act as the subject matter expert, supporting engineering, manufacturing and R&D teams while helping shape future materials and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities as our Polymer Chemist

• Act as the technical authority for polymer chemistry and materials.
• Provide expert advice on material selection, chemistry and performance.
• Support new product development and continuous improvement projects.
• Advise on material compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support across manufacturing, engineering, HSE and quality functions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on materials and R&D initiatives.
• Opportunity to take responsibility for an R&D and testing laboratory.

What we are looking for

• Around 7 to 10 years' experience in polymer chemistry within manufacturing or industry.
• Degree qualified in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. A PhD would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of polymer and composite materials.
• Knowledge of tribology would be beneficial.
• Organised, proactive and able to communicate technical information effectively across multiple teams.
