About the Role
  • As a Popular Music Lecturer at Kidderminster College, you will:
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Popular Music programmes,
  • Plan and prepare learning activities that meet awarding body and curriculum requirements,
  • Support learners in developing performance, composition, production, and music industry knowledge,
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement,
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment,
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the learner experience and curriculum delivery.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience within the music industry, music education, or a related creative sector,
  • Knowledge of performance, composition, music technology, and contemporary music practices,
  • Strong communication and organisational skills,
  • A passion for supporting and developing learners,
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable,
  • A valid or update-service DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
