Postal Delivery Driver (Hiring Immediately) at Royal Mail, North-West London

Location: Cricklewood Delivery Office, NW2 1AA

Job type: Fixed Term 9 month contract

Salary: £16.24 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 30 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – With shifts starting as early as 7:30am and finishing as late as 3:10pm

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand. 

You’ll be required to work Sundays at Cricklewood Delivery Office per business needs, with the shift going from 11:00 - 5:40pm.

• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area

What to expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily
• Working in all weather conditions
• Delivering letters and high volumes of parcels
• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
