Our well-established manufacturing client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Potting & Impregnation Operative to join and support their potting team.

Job Type: Full Time; Permanent
Salary: £25,500 - 29,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:15 AM - 5:30 PM
Location: Barnstaple

About the Potting & Impregnation Operative role:
Support the Potting and Impregnation team in the process of potting, encapsulation assembly and impregnation, whilst adhering to rigorous manufacturing standards and detailed product specifications.
 
Responsibilities of the Potting & Impregnation Operative:
  • Competent execution of defined process for potting, encapsulation assembly and impregnation
  • Competent use of Ovens, Vacuum chambers associated tooling
  • Able to create mould tools and ad hoc jigs in association with processing product
  • Able to assemble/fit product into jigs and fixtures conforming to specification build standards
  • Safe storage, control & use of chemicals for the potting, encapsulation assembly & impregnation
  • Competent working to specifications, build standards and data sheets
  • Competent in the use of measuring equipment both analogue & digital
  • Competent in the use, setup & daily maintenance of ovens, pumps and vacuum chambers
  • Working in a 6S mindset ensure area is clean, tidy & safe
  • Support the creation of risk assessments where required
  • Safe usage and control of chemicals and mould tooling
  • Participate in departmental inspections & audits.
Requirements of the Potting & Impregnation Operative:
  • Magnetics production or manufacturing background
  • Understanding of metric & imperial measurements
  • Comfortable using gauges & tools such as micrometres, Vernier dial gauges
  • Understanding & competent in ovens, pumps & vacuum chambers
  • Good understanding of various test equipment for the potting, encapsulation & impregnation process
  • Basic use of ERP system
  • Demonstrate safe personal behaviour at all times.
  • Excellent attention to detail and dexterity
  • Ensure yourself and others in your working areas are safe and not exposed to significant risk.
