Powder Coating Supervisor in Talke, Staffordshire

Xpert Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Powder Coating Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of their powder coating facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in powder coating processes and proven leadership experience. You will take responsibility for managing production, maintaining high-quality standards and leading a team of operatives to ensure the safe, efficient and productive running of both manual and automated powder coating lines.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the powder coating department.
• Manage both manual and automated powder coating lines, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure all finished products meet customer specifications and required quality standards.
• Monitor pretreatment, powder application and curing processes to maintain consistent results.
• Lead, supervise, train and develop production operatives.
• Plan workloads and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Carry out quality inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Monitor equipment performance and liaise with maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate production, quality and operational records.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience supervising or managing a powder coating operation.
• Strong technical knowledge of manual and automated powder coating lines.
• Experience with pretreatment processes and curing ovens.
• Excellent understanding of powder coating quality standards and testing procedures.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Requirements

• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).

What's on Offer?

• £36,000 per annum.
• Overtime available at x1.5
• Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
• Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm.
