We are currently seeking to represent an experienced SEND specialist to provide interim support for a site in Kidderminster, West Midlands (DY14). If you are a SEND specialist who is available immediately, we would be keen to speak with you.
This role is offered initially as a temporary, part-time (3 days per week) opportunity to provide PPA cover. All planning is in place for the term. Your key role will be to support the current team to create stability and assist with the development of practices. Ideally you will be experienced with working alongside pupils on a one-to-one basis or small group basis. Typically, the site caters for pupils aged 7-17 with SEND requirements such as severe learning difficulties and/or profound and multiple learning difficulties and class sizes are small. An informal meeting will be offered with the new Headteacher as a starting point for you to gain a full understanding of the school and their needs.
This site is part of a national trust who are focussed on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners. A relevant UK based qualification.
Substantial experience working within a UK based SEND specialist education setting.
All required documents for safer recruitment processing including, but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
Exceptional references.
Once shortlisted, a one-to-one interview will be scheduled with your dedicated consultant to discuss your experience and personal requirements.
Proposed start date: September 2026
Salary: £190.37 to £279.08 per day (paid to scale)
