Salary: M1-M6 (dependent on experience)

We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Leyland that is seeking an enthusiastic PPA Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time role for the Autumn Term, with the possibility of the position being extended as the school is considering recruiting on a longer-term basis.

The Role

As the successful PPA Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons across different year groups in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Cover classes while teachers are released for their PPA time.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different pupils and abilities.
  • Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Establish strong relationships with pupils and maintain effective classroom management.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and colleagues to ensure consistency and the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Attend staff meetings, parents' evenings, and other school events as required.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching across the primary age range, including placements for ECTs.
  • Is confident teaching different year groups and adapting quickly to new classrooms.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
  • Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is flexible, enthusiastic, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
