PR Account Executive – Senior Account Executive

My client is an integrated marketing agency, who have an exciting opportunity within their PR team for an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to join them.
They are looking for someone who has enthusiasm, drive and a desire to learn and develop within a friendly and supportive team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 -12 months PR experience and have gained experience in press release and copy writing, media relations and client/stakeholder engagement.
Based in South Cheshire, a driving license and own vehicle would be required – there is free parking for staff.
They work on a mix of clients with most clients being franchise businesses. Two of their biggest clients are care provider and a children’s swimming lesson provider. They cover both consumer and B2B PR for clients and are looking for this person to work on both clients and become an expert in franchise business PR. As you will be part of an integrated marketing agency, you will also develop broader marketing skills and training in order to work and collaborate seamlessly between the different teams.
You will receive regular in house training as well as membership to CIPR and have regular appraisals to monitor and support your development.
Key responsibilities
- Support Account Managers, Senior Account Managers and Account Directors with day-to-day client activity.
- Attend client calls and meetings, taking clear notes and sharing actions.
- Draft basic press releases, content and social posts with guidance, learning to apply each client’s tone of voice.
- Update and build media lists, develop confidence using media databases and assist with press release distribution.
- Gather media coverage, maintain coverage books and support the preparation of client reports.
- Monitor the news agenda.
- Support campaign planning, media outreach, social content planning, awards research and above-the-line activity where required.
- Provide reliable administrative support to the wider team, managing tasks carefully and meeting agreed deadlines.
About you
- Strong written communication skills and good attention to detail.
- An interest in PR, media, current affairs, marketing and the issues affecting clients’ sectors.
- Organised, dependable and comfortable managing several tasks at once.
- A confident and professional communicator, willing to ask questions and learn from feedback.
- A collaborative team player who takes ownership of clearly briefed work.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and social media platforms; experience of media databases or design tools is helpful but not essential.
- Committed to learning PR best practice, including media ethics, industry developments and new technology.
