- Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and information governance standards
You may also be asked to help on the dispensary hatch, supporting patients collecting their prescriptions and checking their details before handing over medication.
Performance
You'll be expected to work towards agreed targets and KPIs, including maintaining a low call wait time and completing and maintaining mandatory training.
What we're looking for
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent experience
- Experience in an NHS or similar customer service environment
- Strong administrative experience
- Good communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach for different people
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands on your time
Previous experience as a Prescription Clerk isn't essential. We welcome applicants from backgrounds such as reception, clinical coding, secretarial work or patient coordination. Experience with EMIS, medicines management, or an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services would be an advantage but is not required.
