We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a busy and well-established engineering and fabrication business based in the NG16 area.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in press brake operation and sheet metal fabrication who is looking for a permanent night-shift position with a stable company and a consistent workload.
The RoleWorking as part of an experienced fabrication team, you will be responsible for operating Amada press brake machinery, producing high-quality components to drawing and specification.
Your duties will include:
- Operating Amada press brake machinery
- Setting and operating the machine to produce components accurately
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Selecting appropriate tooling and setting machine parameters
- Checking finished components to ensure they meet required specifications
- Carrying out quality checks throughout production
- Working to production schedules and maintaining high standards of accuracy
- Working safely and keeping the working area clean and organised
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Press Brake Operator / Press Brake Setter Operator within a fabrication or engineering environment.
You should be confident with:
- Operating press brake machinery
- Reading engineering drawings
- Working with sheet metal
- Setting tooling and machine parameters
- Producing accurate components to specification
- Working independently as well as part of a team
Experience with Amada machinery would be highly advantageous.
