CNC PRESS BRAKE SETTER
PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY
PAY: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour + £21 nightshift allowance
HOURS: Nights (Sun – Thurs 22:00 – 06:00)
Our client is hiring for experienced CNC Press Brake Setters to join their nightshift fabrication team. This is a hands‑on role for skilled setters who can confidently operate CNC press brakes, interpret engineering drawings and produce high‑quality folded components to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC press brakes
- Read engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Select correct tooling and machine settings
- Produce accurate folded components to tight tolerances
- Complete first‑off and in‑process quality checks
- Use measuring equipment including verniers, rulers and angle gauges
- Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy
- Work to production schedules and meet output targets
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter/Operator
- Confident setting and operating CNC press brakes
- Ability to bend a range of materials and thicknesses
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings
- Able to work accurately to tight tolerances
- Good understanding of fabrication processes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable, positive attitude, strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar machinery
- Counterbalance forklift licence
- Crane/lifting equipment experience
- Fabrication or sheet metal background
