We are currently recruiting for a Press Brake Operator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator looking for a stable, long-term position within a supportive and growing team.

The Role

You will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend, shape and form sheet metal components to precise specifications. Working from engineering drawings, you will ensure products are manufactured accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machinery.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Select and install the correct tooling, including punches and dies.
• Adjust machine settings to meet production requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain quality throughout production.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

About You

• Previous experience operating a press brake machine is essential.
• Able to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work to deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of handling metal sheets and materials safely.
