Due to continued growth and increasing demand, they are looking to add a skilled Hydraulic Press Setter/Operator to their experienced production team.

The Role As a Hydraulic Press Setter/Operator, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality precision sheet metal components while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate hydraulic presses ranging from 50 to 800 tonnes
  • Install, change and adjust tooling, dies and machine settings
  • Manufacture high-quality precision sheet metal components to specification
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
  • Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
  • Work with a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel and aluminium
  • Support tooling trials and new product introduction activities
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are achieved
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
About You To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
  • Proven experience setting and operating hydraulic or mechanical presses
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience carrying out tooling and die changeovers
  • Knowledge of draw tools and wipe-form tooling
  • Experience using measuring equipment and quality inspection techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
  • Your own tools and toolbox
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to safe working practices
